A bunch of rowdy little kids started jumping up and down on me. I stood up like Frankenstein waving my arms around. One of the kids said "Chresti said we have to get in the car!" I found Chresti pushing a shopping cart full of melting ice cream bars. I panicked and yelled "Chresti, the ice cream!!!" I woke up.

Listening to Gil's show and hearing artists like Lee Perry, Gregory Issacs, Lt. Stitchy, Papa Michigan, etc, changed my outlook on music. This was a worthy and wonderful tribute. Thanks again!

(or pochos or pocho culture, at least that i knew of) just that one chain restaurant (and i was already a teenager by then, and left before i was no longer my father brought me back a cool suede vest with a fluffy white lining from TJ (i think i was 4 or 5), and some little cowboy boots. my mom used to speak certain words in spanish (also frequently called me by the spanish/latin version of my first name. i think she must have taken a class in college... i'll have to ask her)
