Hiya Becky, gang!

Rolling a rattler, while potentially profitable, is a dangerous enterprise.

Evenin', friends. I hope you're well.

McGroovey:

For a minute I thought wfmu.org was down, but it turned out my phone was trying to connect to my daughter's school's WiFi. Apparently, the school network thinks WFMU is untrustworthy.

(Waiting outside to pick her up from marching band practice)

Some pro-level rhymes here.

McGroovey, I mean, they're not *wrong* ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm
Becky:

@McGroovey if I wasn't able to listen to WFMU after marching band practice, this show would certainly not exist.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:14pm
McGroovey:

@Becky when is your marching band going to play the WFMU sidewalk record sale thing? (I can't remember what is actually called, because my brain is fritzing)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm
McGroovey:

Huh. And speaking of Fritz, I had a sudden memory that the first time I heard a live country band was when I was a kid, and a new neighbor moved in down the street, and two of the boys were Scott my age. One of the was named Fritz (and the other was named Carl). They had a family county-western band, and they rehearsed in the living room.

And if course, they left (moved away) in the dead if night without telling anyone, running from the law or creditors or both.

Rosey is Listening on 91.1 MHz:

This is so darn funny. I JUST learned about this song, like days ago. Been fortunate enough to take Amtrak's Cardinal train a couple times recently and will again this Sunday. Goes through West Virginia, so I've been learning a lot about the fascinating history in those southern WV boom-and-bust towns. I happened to miss the South Park episode that used this song but saw the video of it, was about Amazon.

Very sorry for your loss, Becky. Sympathy and solidarity.

91.1 fine in Greenpoint, BK. 91.9 is staticky but also generally unreliable here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:35pm
Rosey is Listening on 91.1 MHz:

I seem to be getting it on 91.9 NYC too. I don't pick it up as well here but definitely hear something. I can get 90.1 as well. Coming in surprisingly well. I'm up near the George Washington Bridge.

Tom Jones was a bona fide TV Star in the late 60s. That one sounded borderline Italian crooner.
