He was opinionated - but completely approachable - even conversational & friendly about it - despite having a dedicated curators's & a specialist's command. I shared thots about the meanings of the Horror genre with him - not too many times, but he was engaged & intelligent in it. It's no mere coincidence he was widely beloved & will not be forgotten.
