Don't forget you just endorse the guy that said that the Bill of Rights was above his pay grade. You got a bunch of socialists in this country now that are putting so-called diversity ahead of married and turning everything on its head. Dr. King judged by character instead of color has been turned on its head. People want segregation again the whole Free Speech movement from the sixties is being trampled down in case you don't know what's going on with Dave Chappelle. I was in the Chicago Hard Rock Cafe some years ago, mostly to use the bathroom, and Leo Nocentelli's guitar had fallen off the wall near the door. It was on the floor with some junk and was covered in dust. It had been there some time. I had to really control my urge to leave with it. I was disgusted by the disrespect.

The main practical/financial reason behind that fee Mike Love pays to book shows under the name "The Beach Boys" and license that name is that a much, much smaller audience would pay to see a Mike Love show. The name The Beach Boys is the draw. The personal or even psychological reason is that Mike truly believes he IS the Beach Boys. He wouldn't agree to pay if he didn't need the marketing boost. And maybe the ego boost too.

Nirvana were similar to The Beatles hitting the US when they did. Time and timing was also on their side, they resonated with people looking for something new, and musically they had solid melodies that people could remember.
