Becky! Tonka Trucks! From beneath many cats, I honk your way!

Becky is starting to make me a Kitty Wells fan.

I find her offer very reasonable.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:08pm
Becky:

@DanFA, it's a great thing to be. @Handy, how many cats?
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:08pm
DanFA:

@Becky, you may have said this on past shows, but what did you think of the Ken Burns Country Music series?
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:09pm
Handy Haversack:

We are back up to four, Becky (plus the hound). We got two kittens a couple of weeks ago. They are eleven weeks old tomorrow and totally amazing. And wild. I am no longer water- or air-tight. Many hundreds of tiny holes.

Goblin and Bugbear: www.wfmu.org...

The older cats (Callipygian, 19; Voltron, 15) are not amused.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
Becky:

@Handy that's an incredible picture. I remember my days of having a kitten that age, I also was incredibly porous.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:11pm
Handy Haversack:

Their collective Gormenghast name is the Brothers Squirm.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:12pm
Becky:

@DanFA, I did a whole podcast series about how I felt about the Ken Burns Country Music series! Look for "Holding Things Together" wherever you get podcasts. Summary: I'm very glad it happened, even if I had Many Thoughts About It.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:13pm
DanFA:

@Becky, I am gonna check that out. Too much Marty Stewart?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:13pm
ultradamno:

He is really taking the scenic route to his point here
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm
Pauly from Clifton:

@Handy Goblin and Bugbear are adorable, but look like they have a streak of evil in them. I can understand the older cats'...disdain. I adopted a 9 month old who was being fostered with two 14-year-olds. They hated him.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:18pm
DanFA:

It's a regular hootenanny here.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:18pm
ultradamno:

I've mentioned this before but...the Maddox's cover of Love Is Strange is a thing of beauty
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Becky:

@DanFA Yeah, a bit. Honestly, I was more bothered by where the attention was paid, some artists over others. For country fans, there wasn't a lot new that was said, but it was exhaustive!
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:20pm
Handy Haversack:

A little evil is a survival trait around here, Pauly!
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:25pm
DanFA:

@Becky, same here RE Marty Stewart. Country is one of my major musical blind spots so I knew practically nothing about it going in, save for the big names and songs, so it was a real education But I could see how someone who knows a lot about country would find that it's just repeating what's already been said.

@ultradamno I saw Blue Velvet at Film Forum years ago and in the print I saw his eyes literally shine.

Hi, Becky and all! I love this song but gotta say that the opening verse is some weird Twin Peaks like horror to my ears.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:31pm
Pauly from Clifton:

@Bryant...well played. I'll take a PBR.
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:31pm

@ultradamno I think Lynch had him lit so the lighting would bounce off his eyes.

Also check out Paris, Texas. He was great in that too. And he was in the Lynch version of Dune.

Aha. I guessed I repressed the memory or something. Watched Blue Velvet with my pa when it came out on video. He loves a good movie.

I met Dean Stockwell at a convention once. I asked him if there's ever going to be a Quantum Leap reunion and what was his favourite part of being on the show. He seemed really reserved or unwell but said the reunion would be up to "the powers that be" and he loves the free cigars.

Dean Stockwell was a child actor, "Anchors Away", "Gentleman's Agreement", "The Secret Garden" and others. He had a long and diverse career and was always outstanding.

Fantastic show tonight.... <places earmuffs on Becky> Is it just me and my odd preferences that some shows are more amazing than others or is there kind of a consensus about which shows are the 'classic' ones? <removes ear muffs>
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:49pm
DanFA:

@ y_ddraig_las: all shows are equal but some shows are more equal than others
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:49pm

I think Ernie & The Countrymen were the guys who bullied Echo and The Bunnymen into melancholy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:50pm
Sweet Corn Lizzie:

Handy they are adorable! We have some ferals that we feed, three black cats. They often curl up together on our deck furniture - you can tell because more than 2 ears.

Oh Merle... [wistful sigh]
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 8:51pm
Handy Haversack:

It's weird because most bunnies are actually named Ernie.

Hi, Lizzie! I just spent twenty minutes as the bottom kitten in the pile!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:52pm

I thought all bunnies were named Bugs, Thumper or Floppsy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm
Becky:

That momentary Deano impression was dedicated to Rex
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:53pm
Sweet Corn Lizzie:

Aww! These cats are still a little wary of us but two now want to be scritched and petted by me. Someday, house cats.

Oswald used to be a big one, but then he became a mouse through a painful series of surgical procedures and the bunny community turned against the name

Rheumatism crutch, that is.

I'm pretty sure the middle name of Peter Rabbit who snooped around Mr. McGregor's garden is Holsapple.
