It's very strong 4:4 suitable for Muzak, yet it conveys a craziness in its lyrics and the way it's sung that I enjoy. I love songs with a "contradiction" between the music style and lyrics, and this one is so laid-back Caribbean style in its instrumentation while being so earnest (and my friends would say scary) in the metaphor it uses in its lyrics, that it seems subversive to me.

It's very strong 4:4 suitable for Muzak, yet it conveys a craziness in its lyrics and the way it's sung that I enjoy. I love songs with a "contradiction" between the music style and lyrics, and this one is so laid-back Caribbean style in its instrumentation while being so earnest (and my friends would say scary) in the metaphor it uses in its lyrics, that it seems subversive to me.
