I couldn't take it all (and stay married), but I had a 2 hour run through his house collecting whatever I could in an hour (sort of like that old TV show, Supermarket Sweep), and smuggling it home...

	♥ 1:12pm Wendy del Formaggio: I discovered a good thing to do with leftover mashed potatoes. Smoosh a bit into a pancake and fry it in the cast iron pan until a crust forms. Then flip it and repeat. You can add some chopped scallions if you'd like to get fancy.

	♥ 1:27pm Rich in Washington: I've never had the fried leftover mashed potatoes pancake thing work for me but maybe now that I have more patience as a cook and am now armed with a cast iron pan, I should try again.
	♥ 1:28pm Wendy del Formaggio: Rich, it always takes longer than one would think to get the pancakes to crisp up. Also, I had to adjust my concept of "pancake." They don't always completely coalesce into one cake, but they always taste good.

I'm not wild about using my personal computer as a streamer/server if I can help it -- the needs of a nice stable server are too often at odds with those of an end-user machine. Currently running Plex on a 4-bay Synology NAS (storage appliance), and streaming from there to Sonos (for music) and Roku (for video).

I'm not wild about using my personal computer as a streamer/server if I can help it -- the needs of a nice stable server are too often at odds with those of an end-user machine. Currently running Plex on a 4-bay Synology NAS (storage appliance), and streaming from there to Sonos (for music) and Roku (for video).
