Hello everyone!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Fox and foxy listeners!
  9:12pm elwyn:

I had never made pancakes before until I learnt to during the pandemic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Bluh ... they put xanthan gum in just about everything.
  9:16pm elwyn:

we don't do Thanksgiving in Australia but we have picked up the Black Friday sales and the Cyber Monday sales.

I like these sales but hate how I have to delete hundred emails.
Avatar 9:20pm tak:

there's a something tuesday too right? online shopping tuesday or something
Avatar 9:21pm tak:

idk I learned the colours back in kinder, monday is black and friday is blue (tuesday red, wed yellow, thu purple, saturday orange of course)
Avatar 9:26pm slugluv1313:

i think it is Giving Tuesday? to donate to non-profits, etc. -- and there is also Shop Small Saturday
Avatar 9:27pm slugluv1313:

Monday is Cyber Monday for online shopping
(geez WHY do i remember all this crap?!?)
Avatar 9:28pm tak:

we have great capacity to learn (from billboards)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Ken From Hyde Park:

@slug - Yeah, a few year ago when online shopping was new and a novelty.
  9:34pm Zinn The Mood:

Really enjoying your set - thanks!
  9:34pm elwyn:

online sales was already a huge growth area but the pandemic/lockdowns gave it a huge boost.
I almost got a job at one of Australia's top online retailers.
  9:36pm Morgan:

hola fox 🦊 good to hear you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:37pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Then: Roads clogged with shoppers going shopping.
Now: Roads clogged with delivery trucks delivering.
Avatar 9:44pm Drunken Creep:

Excellent sounds tonight, gracias DJ
  9:44pm Zinn The Mood:

Join the Church of Stop Shopping.

When the real “People’s” history of NYC is written Reverend Billy will have earned a page or two.

I think brazen, entitled consumerism may even be tops on my list over nationalism for things I loathe most about this country.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47pm McGroovey:

I wasn't listening closely until now, and I thought it was Therese.

I'm digging the show. I'm teaching myself how to crown guitar frets. I lost patience with it earlier and almost threw the guitar neck and tools across the room, but now this music has reinspired patience, and I have recommenced.

Happy turkeyholiday to Fox and to all.
  9:48pm Morgan:

agreed Zinn
  9:48pm Helen:

Appreciate your company and the music
  9:49pm Cooh John:

Rosie is playing. Bennie, you out there?
  9:53pm Morgan:

  9:55pm Morgan:

someone here made a purple sweet potato pie
  9:56pm debbie's son:

my mom is upset with your comment about sussex queen being "white trash"
  9:56pm Helen:

Yes, no commercials!

  10:05pm Zinn The Mood:

I wonder if diners are the same kind of the thing that they are in NorthEast suburbia as they are around the rest of the country? Weird uniquely American thing I’d think. Open 24/7, ridiculously extensive menus of mostly greasy food, free coffee refills, catering to the lonely, teenagers, old folks and traveling families.
Something kind of enchanting about them though in general, as these nighttime outposts. Although it’s kind of nauseating to think of eating in them exclusively.
Avatar 10:09pm Fox:

THanks to everyone commenting on the list! Sorry I'm not more present, but I've not really planned this show ahead, so I'm a bit frazzled!!! Thanks everyone!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm McGroovey:

Unplanned=good

Anything should happen.
Avatar 10:12pm slugluv1313:

@Zinn -- agreed -- and yeah, Saturday is "Shop Small Saturday" -- but i try to do that as much as possible all the time anyway
  10:15pm Zinn The Mood:

Man, this tune prompted me to pick up a book I’ve had trouble finishing. That being, “Great Jones Street,” by Don DeLillo. I’ve put it down a few times in the past month, and read other books in between.

Thanks for the vibe.
Avatar 10:15pm slugluv1313:

(ugh -- apologies for weird, redundant grammar -- pretty wiped out here and frazzled too)
  10:17pm Morgan:

Zinn when we were in lockdown in 2020 i was specifically sad that i might never be able to get breakfast in a diner again
  10:18pm Morgan:

excellent instrumental jams
  10:21pm diskinserted:

Killin’ it friendo! Forgot how much I love listening to you live. JP and I have been listenin’ in since go while cookin’ and drankin.
  10:25pm Morgan:

maybe thats why your energy is so different! i forgot i usually hear you at 3-6
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:29pm McGroovey:

I'm enjoying your non-graveyard show. I wish you were on regularly outside the graveyard.

The phone calls remind me of WKCR's Bob Fass, which is good.

I always mean to check out overnight shows in the archives, but I rarely get around to it. I vote for Fox getting an awake-hours show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm Ike:

I'm in Sunset Park, but only for about 6-7 years. It's safe here these days, much different than the 90s from what I understand. Lots of Mexican families. Lots of good huaraches, sopes, and tacos. Now there are some folks selling homemade ceviche out of coolers on a corner. Brooklyn Chinatown might be slowly expanding outwards from 7th and 8th Aves., too.
  10:35pm Eric the Hat:

Fox! This show is frickin rad! Thanks! I’d call in if I weren’t in the kitchen. Much appreciated.
Avatar 10:36pm Fox:

diskinserted!!!!!! AAAHHHHH!!!!! hiiiiiii!!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38pm Ike:

And like the caller said, there are more bars here now. L'Wren and Judy's just opened a couple of years ago. I think the fancy new gentrified-looking fish taco place has a bar in it too. But there's also that shitty old Irish bar, Irish Haven. Maybe that was the one you had to be buzzed into?
Avatar 10:41pm Fox:

Ike: YES! I think it was! On 4th ave?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43pm Ike:

Yeah, 4th in the 50s. You definitely don't need to be buzzed in now.
  10:52pm Dave Miss:

Howdy Fox
Avatar 10:55pm Fox:

HAllooooooo.
  11:10pm Glistener MW:

!!! Signal To Noise is incredible! 💚 I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone publicly mention that one in the pantheon of Gaiman’s vast bibliography
Avatar 11:11pm Fox:

Hooray, MW! I'm pleased you dig it!
  11:14pm Glistener MW:

Very much so — and, this entire evening! Thanks for the magical journey to so many lands of concordant discordia during this great fill-in, Fox! 🦊 🧡
Avatar 11:23pm Fox:

YAY! Thanks!
  11:27pm Coincidentally:

I met my first foxes this summer camping at Hecksher State Park near Islip

First one was nosing around my tent as I had to leave the door open to accommodate a camping kitty that adopted me.

Female tuxedo. Really. Looked like slugluvs avatar with more black and a key hole shaped black spot on its nose. Old school keyhole.

But the Fox. Looking in. I felt Boots the cat stir on my leg. Looked out and could swear the Fox looked like a high end small dog. And on Long Island. I never knew. Saw some rabbits too.

Watched Dork Gently Holistic Detective from 2010 bbc yesterday. Just had my usual thanksgiving sushi all you can eat binge today. Chinese sounds good for tomorrow went today to avoid the crowds.

There will be crowds

So the next night camping I forgot to seal or dispose some leftover chicken legs and wings and woke to the foxes eating the shit out of them.

That sound.

You mentioned the Fox call

Sorry. Auto spell loves capping Fox it’s not an old man thing

Loving your show so very much

Ken should bring you into the light more.

Happy holiday Fox lady

Luv luv luv the show
  11:28pm Coincidentally:

Also really dig chocolate stout porters
  11:36pm Glistener MW:

Thank you for that, Co.! 🦊🦊🦊
  11:37pm Glistener MW:

and, agreed, I’d love to hear Fox on here again sometime / more regularly
  11:38pm Glistener MW:

The whole vibe of everything these past hours has just felt so very on my wavelength (especially now)
  11:38pm dano59:

Many synchronicities tonite.
a) birthday of my son, a former artisanal bartender in Brooklyn.
b) the fox pop has exploded here in upstate NY.
c) no T-day plans. I'm a holiday orphan so will be cooking at home and watching movies
Avatar 11:40pm Fox:

dano: YAY FOR MOVIE DAY!
  11:41pm dano59:

... Is the world scheduled to end again anytime soon?
  11:52pm Glistener MW:

… the sound of the hospital flatscan into that fluctuating chord — brilliant. I’m just reading now that McKean himself did the music for this adaptation
  11:56pm Glistener MW:

Thanks for the past 3 hours, Fox! 🦊
