	♥ 5:18pm Doug Schulkind: Gina, last night, in the middle of the night, the transistor radio that I keep with me in the bed all night somehow got tuned to 650AM and I was pulling in WSM out of Nashville. I was awake enough to hear the show Honky Tonkin' with Tracy Lawrence, but then I fell asleep with the radio still in my ear. As I slept, I had the wildest dream that I was in Nashville and I was running all over the city looking for you. Then I got out my phone to call you. It was a vintage flip-phone from, like, 15 years ago, and I couldn't figure out how to get to the Contacts function. Very frustrating.

	5:59pm bigplanetnoise: vanhoos - I liked the Dead throughout it all. They may have popped commercial a bit later on, but, to me, it’s the same bag as Beefheart- if you like/love them, you like/love them throughout, because it’s just so unique and stylistically singular.

	6:12pm bigplanetnoise: vanhoos - without beating this horse to death, I always found that Jerry sounded pretty much the same no matter what axe he was using: Guild-SG-Strat, etc. I hear him change/morph stylistically, but it’s always like the actual guitar itself is secondary. His technique moved around over the years, but he just really wanted a guitar he was comfortable with - enter Rick Turner, etc.

As I slept, I had the wildest dream that I was in Nashville and I was running all over the city looking for you. Then I got out my phone to call you. It was a vintage flip-phone from, like, 15 years ago, and I couldn't figure out how to get to the Contacts function. Very frustrating.

His technique moved around over the years, but he just really wanted a guitar he was comfortable with - enter Rick Turner, etc.
