Hey WR, melinda, WHenry and Peter! WR, The Beatles Christmas Album might not have been an official release. I got it in the early 1970s, and although it's on the Apple Label on the back cover it says, "Not For Sale." Maybe sent just to radio stations?

That Fahey encounter was a bit bizarre, and he was in bad shape. His diabetes was already pretty advanced. He was funnier and cannier - and nicer - than you might expect at that stage. I have some very strange recordings from that day. Musically it was pretty much a zero, but he enjoyed speaking into the reverb-soaked microphone I set up for him. He took on a (kiddingly) godlike persona and was hilariously irreverent toward John Allen who was trying to interview him. I recently found those recordings. I have to air some of the best parts some day.
