@Dan and Handy Thanks! 103 fever broke yesterday, now just tired @dano59 problem is the people most able to fix them have the least space for them... I occasionally know of some that need to be rehomed for almost free, trying to escape the dreaded wine rack/ trendy cat bed fate.

Upcycling is such a weird thing...I saw a radio worth $3500 turned into $20 worth of scrap wood yet somehow this was a smart move? It amazes me that with the world's knowledge at our fingertips people can be so dense

@PigeonsandRust - yeh, my hometown had a Central Radio repair shop for a long time, into the '80s anyway ... great source for NOS tubes back when i started collecting as a hobby. All old flea-market table radios seem to need tubes!
