A woman and a man are sitting on a couch. The woman says to the man "You better hurry. My husband will be home soon. The man says "Why? We aren't doing anything". The woman replies "That's why you better hurry!"

hi, Sheila and folks. listening and enjoying.
Definition of Sociopathy is the inability to Feel.
It's healthy - one wants to say critical - to Resist that. Both as Individuals - & I do think as a Society.
@love2laf: no truer words, m'dear
Some get the paradox that it takes strength to be vulnerable - & some aren't there yet. Probly all of us in different ways & degrees...
@chris: thank you friend

Two hearts, believing in just one mind
You know we're two hearts believing in just one mind
WE ARE ONE!
Written by Monte Moir of The Time. Just a matryoshka of 80s glory.
I almost said the same thing this morning when you wrote about the possibility of a meatloaf tribute.
Read your Hitler. USA was his template.
After the accident of a wealthy educated middle class that formed after the depression and post war period a conscious effort was put into practice to avoid the overreach of those filthy hippies and civil rights types actually saying no to a system of lies.
As for the “deplorables” of today: once it was only John Birch tracts and limited maniacs. Mass communication in the hands of corporate oligarchs has propelled the fringe to the forefront.
The one percent of the 60s would never have allowed or dreamed of allowing the self destruction for profit and power that is normalized today.
That’s a brief two cents. But don’t kid yourselves: what passes for the “good guys” today could care less that our actions are killing millions around the globe. Afghanistan Iran Libya Yemen a variety of African nations etc etc.
This society as a whole is incapable of effective self reflection or gif forbid facing its own mistakes on any level.
The propaganda is now the true religion both sides cling to.
Trust me. I know the gop is the more evil authoritarian force. But Joe Biden is only preferable in a world that would elevates the other side.
And his actions will cement that authoritarianism for years to come. The party he belongs to strangles reformers in the crib and only acts outraged to collect more campaign cash.
Pox on both houses.
The Victorians has a far greater appreciation of mortality. I embrace it. And a cancer diagnosis leaves you quite at ease with the limited nature of it all.
That and knowing more dead people than living.
@Pardon - as much space as that takes up here - it's a pretty good summary...
A K7 = a casette
Dutch: anyone or anything interesting is "weird", right?
Maybe I should consider a new line of work?
Sheila B can come do an all-blue show (or any other kind of show) on the Drummer Stream anytime. We are an FCC-free zone.
all us innocents...**wink** I now understand that it may refer to a person who knows how to get things done in the "kitchen" where all that hot, steamy work must be done
Time to call it quits and just listen to MUSIC :-)
Sincere apologies if my negativity triggered that political tirade earlier. I don’t ever want to compromise this safe space. Was just trying to relate to a fellow listener.
