Greetings. Today is first day of Chinese Lunar New Year. What you do now will be reflected all through the coming year.

Would not be noticing possible significance of the name Bene Gesserjt except that we watched the recent Dune movie on Saturday.

@ Little Danny: Well, both countries were fully paid-up members of the international cassette underground. But Belgium certainly churned out a lot of great music, for a small country.

I saw a film by Stan Brakhage of an autopsy at Cal Tech in The Beckman Auditorium on a huge screen. For a short time in the 1970's, they showed a lot of outlier cinema.

reckong Billy Club Prophet was from Seattle? Beltown (sic) was an area in Seattle that used to have some character and general diveyness. Of course, like everything else there, it's been razed and converted into an actual neo-liberal Babylon.
Avatar 1:56pm
Tony Coulter:

Not sure! I do have a cassette by him, though -- there could be an address on it. (No time to find it now, as my cassettes are currently way out of order.)

@ Mark: Nope. It's stuff from various countries (more Spain than anywhere else, since it's a Spanish release). Die Welttraumforscher are Swiss, btw.

I had a dream that I received a double live cd of AFX and AGF playing live together as part of a BBC series and was sent the yellow jewel case to review it for some publication. I still remember the music in my dream after I pressed play, it becoming my dream sndtrk, and me making notes on it. Now, we need to make AFX and AGF perform together to make it happen!

Only missed about 1/2 hour of listening, but until now had to have it in the background.

I once interviewed a musician who didn't really want to be interviewed so he did it while he was building a poultry coop. When I edited it into a program the power saw provided excellent intro to one of his new recordings.

Thank you Tony for today's sounds!
