A telltale sign that a cat may have been feral is if they purr (at all, some don't) on the exhale only. My last cat was a purring machine. New one...not so much. But she burrows her head and is constantly hugging/shouldering into things.

I think the fetch thing is a learned behavior from being around dogs. She went from a kill shelter in Brooklyn to a foster in Staten Island. She's still a bit unpredictable. Doubt I'll be letting her on the balcony any time soon.

My step mom has a similar issue. I initially went with the cheap roller Amazon recommended and it ended up doing more harm than good. This roller, in addition to two tennis balls in a sock for lower back relief has been a game changer. No more weird kinks.
