Here's my history with the dead. I genuinely enjoyed them in my mid teen years. Then my interests leaned elsewhere and the Deads horrible fans in the late 80s/90s really turned me off. Around 2000 my interest in them started creeping back. For the longest time in recent years I've enjoyed their music but felt frustrated by what they were not doing. They have 2 drummers, 2 guitarists and a world class PA. They should sound like Acid Mothers or Can. I've very recently realized that I can listen to Acid Mothers and Can instead and listen to the Dead as they are - haha.
