I saw Procol Harum a few years ago, and Gary Brooker had been to Buckingham Palace that afternoon to receive an OBE from the Queen. He had it pinned nonchalantly to the lapel of his jacket. Very cool.

Just back from the dentist office. A wonderful man with diabolical music piped into his office. I think I would’ve rather heard him say “is it safe?” with a drill in his hand. Really appreciate that the first set of STF featured none of “the soft rock hits of the 80s for the contemporary workplace, never too loud”

I got a little burnt out on "A Whiter Shade of Pale" because it was on the Big Chill soundtrack which my parents played on a cassette in our old Mazda over and over and over and over and over and over while I was a brat complaining in the back seat... but "A Salty Dog" is pretty great.
