A Friday Funny Story
Roger left for work on Friday morning.
Friday was payday, so instead
of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying with the boys and
spending his entire pay check.
Finally, Roger appeared at home on Sunday night, and obviously he was
confronted by his angry wife, Martha who castigated Roger for nearly two
hours with a tirade befitting his actions.
Finally, Martha stopped the
nagging and said to Roger, 'How would you like it if you didn't see me for
two or three days?'
Roger replied grimly, 'That would be fine with me.'
Monday went by and he didn't see his Martha.
Tuesday and Wednesday came
and went with the same results.
By Thursday, the swelling had gone down just enough so that Roger he could
see Martha a little out of the corner of his left eye

Here in Brattleboro we do representative town meeting, but we get to vote on the budget and new selectboard members via Australian ballot on Town Meeting Day.
I'm moving to Bellows Falls/Rockingham possibly next month, so next year I hope to attend their Town Meeting, which happens in the town-owned opera house!

I will say this: neither peppermint stick nor dill pickle won the battle waged within my mouth. Each is such an aggressive flavor that neither succeeded in being the dominant taste. It was a draw…or perhaps more like mutually assured destruction.

We saw the Connells at Brooklyn Bowl last night. Super-enthused crowd (if maybe tending toward some snow on the hills -- though there were definitely some younger people). Fiery, intense show, and they played for a *solid* long time! If they come to your city, go see 'em, Glisteners!
