Greetings. I got some winding down music to start with for you

it's hitting the spot

Excellent.

Hello, I am lamenting that this pierogi is too hot and it is a weird time to have dinner at 12:08 AM, Pacific Standard Time, in the Northern Hemisphere.
Avatar 3:10am
Jeremiah:

Sounds like perfect pierogi time to me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am

Good morning Jeremiah and listeners
Avatar 3:19am
Jeremiah:

Morning Fred!

I wonder why the pledge count appears on some playlists but not others. Is that something you opted in? Or just occasional testing before a marathon rollout?
Avatar 3:45am
Jeremiah:

I opted in. Default is off. It's a new thing.
Avatar 3:46am
Jeremiah:

I think you guys will like my premium and prizes haha

Howdy Jeremiah...hope you're doing well today, looking forward to hearing you with Bucci with you.

morning morning all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:06am
happymaan:

So Jeremiah, are you gonna make me ask?
Avatar 4:09am
Jeremiah:

:(
Avatar 4:10am
Jeremiah:

I'm so brain dead when I leave here. And then I go home and do another radio show in the afternoon and then forget about music for a week haha. So, yes, tell me again.
Avatar 4:11am
Jeremiah:

When I finally get around to listening to this person I'll do an hour on them haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26am
fred:

Nice cover. Does anyone else remember the one (Für Immer Punk) by Die Goldenen Zitronen?
Avatar 4:27am
Jeremiah:

I don't know it. It's a shame that the cold war nuclear bomb songs are relevant again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28am
happymaan:

LOL, so understandable Jeremiah, Wim Mertens is the man I speak of weekly. Sorry, got busy with work. I'm doing what should be my final render now.
Avatar 4:31am
Jeremiah:

nice. final final? haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:32am
happymaan:

Have you ever seen that Kenny G Doc?
Avatar 4:34am
Jeremiah:

No! What's it called?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38am
happymaan:

Music Box: Listening to Kenny G is the doc
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:38am
happymaan:

"Saxophonist Kenny G speaks candidly about his musical background, his stringent work ethic and his controversial standing in the jazz canon."
Avatar 4:39am
Jeremiah:

"controversial"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:39am
happymaan:

Wow, I haven't heard this track in years, I love it.
Avatar 4:40am
Jeremiah:

it's a nice one
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40am
fred:

Oh, that Kenny G...
Avatar 4:41am
Jeremiah:

all those 80s bands had at least one nice instrumental
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:44am
fred:

I hope to see Theoreme in a couple of weeks. I was at one of her first solo concerts many years ago but somehow haven't seen her again since (I mean solo, I did catch her band SIDA a few more times)
Avatar 4:47am
Jeremiah:

I'm going to see Natalie Bergman next week before I come in here. I'm giving her LP as a prize next week.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:52am

My only upcoming tickets are for Weird Al

I have tickets for Kraftwerk and I've had tickets for New Order and Pet Shop BOys for going on 3 years now. We'll see if it happens this year.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:01am
fred:

In the weird show department, I have a ticket for a bagpipes and bombards ensemble at the Japanese cultural center next Friday, for a commemoration of the Fukushima disaster. They're from Brittany, but it does make sense as a Japanese composer wrote a bagpipe piece specifically for one of them on that theme
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02am
happymaan:

God I'd love to see New Order and Pet Shop Boys!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02am

My goal is to be done with work before Bad Animals is on...no offense to those animals.
Avatar 5:04am
Jeremiah:

Well to be fair-they are not good animals. They are bad.
Avatar 5:07am
Jeremiah:

Oh I also have HAIM tickets I need to get rid of. I was dating someone with terrible taste in music and we broke up so now I'm stuck trying to unload these lame tickets :/
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:11am

Good morning Jeremiah and all - that was one of my all time favourites

Avatar 5:21am
Jeremiah:

Mine are barely open as well
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:25am
fred:

Maybe a WFMU playlist isn't the best place to unload these (and your sales pitch isn't ideal). Then again, you never know, and I guess many listeners are beyond feeling shame for their musical tastes
Avatar 5:29am
Jeremiah:

Haha I don't want anyone who would want them listening to my show anyway
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:31am
happymaan:

I was able to finish work before the animals. Thanks for the music as always Jeremiah, until next week.
Avatar 5:33am
Jeremiah:

Have a good week Happy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33am
happymaan:

You as well, and now I now who HAIM are.
Avatar 5:36am
Jeremiah:

I'm sorry about that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39am
fred:

I still don't, but they got some plays on the station (Joe McGasko the most, then Bob Brainen, a confusing combination for a current band)
Avatar 5:43am
Jeremiah:

I couldn't name a song of theirs. I guess they're pop? Entirely forgettable. I'm hoping the show sells out so I can at least turn a little profit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43am
fred:

I like to see bands I don't know, and to first hear their music live, so I've often picked a show by looking up which WFMU DJ played them
Avatar 5:45am
Jeremiah:

it's weird they get plays on here though. they are super mainstream. like playing MSG mainstream.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53am
fred:

I guess it's like Sheila B and the occasional man. If a DJ likes a song, why not? (I tend to ignore Ken playlist hits in those searches though)
Avatar 5:54am
Jeremiah:

no accounting for taste i suppose
Avatar 5:54am
Jeremiah:

*Jeremiah says as he plays 40 minutes of smooth jazz...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57am
happymaan:

I'm home before the bad animals. I tried listening to HAIM on the way home, it didn't work out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59am
happymaan:

Have a great week y'all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00am
fred:

@Jeremiah: Total number of playlist hits (except your show) for this set: 3. 2 for Paul Brown (but that could be another one) and 1 for Jeanette Harris (but it was Nat Roe, so probably ironic)
