Apologies I wasn't well enough to make it to the gig. My seasonal allergies were shitty yesterday.🤧

Yay! Milkies is here!!!

Kittimu:

hi everyone
Avatar 3:07pm
Debbie Davenport:

Allergies are no joke. A specialist told my beautiful young healthy neighbor she had to move out of the Williamette Valley or it could shorten her life. they tried for years.
  3:10pm
Cheree July:

Yep. I'm feeling much better, but I just had a bit of a sneeze attack, so I just had to Sinex my schnozz.👃
  3:10pm
Milkies:

Hi Debbie, you know me I can’t listen and comment at the same time but I’m here! HELLO HELLO
  3:12pm
Cheree July:

OOOH! I 😍 this song by the Quick!
Avatar 3:12pm

It's so hard to hold back saying, "OH I love this one!" I want to say it a lot every show!
  3:12pm
Milkies:

Pretty Please Me
  3:13pm
Kittimu:

Man, i gotta get more into this music, I haven't been able to recognize any of the songs so far, I'm so lost without the playlist display
Avatar 3:14pm
Debbie Davenport:

Kittimu do you listen to the archives? I love doing that.
  3:15pm
Kittimu:

I should start doing that! I need to get caught up, I guess!
  3:16pm
Kittimu:

Oh, hey, I think I know this one, it's pantherman
Avatar 3:17pm
Debbie Davenport:

If you can do it with a computer instead of phone you will see picture sleeves. that is one of my favorite parts.
  3:17pm
Kittimu:

I actually have it playing from the app, but I have the site open in my browser at the same time so I can switch back and forth and see the picture sleeves
Avatar 3:19pm

Between all the regulars here, a playlist could be cobbled together in the chat!

I agree with that

Kittimu:

Oops, chat just reloaded, Debbie got there before me
Avatar 3:21pm
Dolor-X:

Yes Kittimu, you know more than you realize.
  3:22pm
Kittimu:

Would any of you be so kind as to tell me what the songs were that played before Pantherman?
Avatar 3:24pm
Debbie Davenport:

I love this idea Dolor-X
One was Gary Glitter, I was out super late and only slept like 2 hours the past two days. I'm too spacey to hold on to things and remember well.
This song is Beautiful Child by Spiv I have it by Buster. I forgot to relisten to archives and place if they are some of the same people. I forgot what Don has said about them.
  3:24pm
Kittimu:

Oh it is? I thought oh you beautiful child by spiv was different than this, he had a higher voice
Avatar 3:26pm
Debbie Davenport:

Maybe that was the Buster version. I can't listento my records until I get a new record player but we are moving so physically and mentally my environment is chaotic.
Avatar 3:28pm
Mr Fab:

Hi all you glitter kidz! Who did that King Kong song? I always appreciate songs about monsters.
Avatar 3:30pm
Debbie Davenport:

This is Flame. Big Wheels Turning
Avatar 3:31pm
Debbie Davenport:

I was going to ask if that was Abba Mr Fab. There are a few king kong songs but I think they or someone like them have one specifically called King Kong Song. Unless that is big secret I'm thinking of.
Avatar 3:32pm

Roleft my headphones. My mixer got all weird and readjusted un transit,,,insane
Avatar 3:32pm
Dolor-X:

I came in too late for the first few songs. I’m no good with playlist specifics anyway! Maybe it’s good sign that everyone is partied out, Covid restrictions slowly lifting.
Avatar 3:33pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yeah I was kind of worried the event I was at last night might be a superspreader. I don't know if that fear is realistic. Everything is so weird right now.
Avatar 3:35pm
Debbie Davenport:

not realistic but reasonable.
Welcome To My Rock N Roll by Super Angel
  3:35pm

Ooh, this song is really good.
Avatar 3:36pm
Debbie Davenport:

the other side of the record is good too.

I'll have to check it out
Avatar 3:37pm

I actually don't know much about junkshop glam. He happens to be playing records I have.
that super angel one has a cool picture sleeve
  3:37pm
Kittimu:

I looked it up, it is very cool looking
Avatar 3:40pm
Debbie Davenport:

a saw a cheap copy with picture sleeve for sale recently. I wanted to add it to my order since I had free shipping for 4 more items. It's cool that one that nice still shows up.
  3:42pm
Cheree July:

Nah. I was too busy singing along to pretty please me.
Avatar 3:44pm
Mr Fab:

I also really like English As A Second Language lyrics. It's true, no Anglo/American would title a song "Welcome To My Rock N Roll."
Avatar 3:45pm
Debbie Davenport:

I enjoy that too.
Avatar 3:45pm
Debbie Davenport:

Iggy!!!
  3:45pm
Kittimu:

I'm trying to write down all these song titles as he says them and I can't keep up! What was the Icelandic one?
Avatar 3:46pm
Debbie Davenport:

Chains I think. I have it favorited on my profile but I don't have it yet. My spaceyness makes me uncertain if it was Chains. but I'm pretty sure.
Avatar 3:47pm
Dolor-X:

We are grateful you are here to spin for us, Kitten Sparkles, in spite of the shift in the earth’s axis, and late nights.
  3:47pm
Kittimu:

here's what I got down:

I'm a rebel by accept
hello I'm back again by gary glitter
pretty please me by the quick
teen wave by ricky wilde
pantherman by pantherman
king king song by ABBA
big wheel turning by flame
big blond baby by plastic feet
welcome to my rock n roll by super angel

Avatar 3:48pm

this is Iggy Pop I got a right
  3:49pm
Kittimu:

Ok cool only missed one, that's not so bad. I can only type so fast
  3:49pm
Cheree July:

Haha! This reminds me of a really fun conversation I had on Instagram with Niagra Detroit of Destory All Monsters recently. She said KF was interested in working with DAM & Ron Ashton, but KF wanted to replace her with a really fat girl singer.🙄
Avatar 3:51pm

KF as in Kim Fowley?

Hanky Panky with Joe by Melissa. Debby got the song first!
Avatar 3:57pm
Mr Fab:

This song is almost ska.
Avatar 3:58pm
Debbie Davenport:

that is who sings it. I was going through what I could think of with girl vocalists like that. I knew it wasn't Silex Pistols, etc. I wouldn't of guessed Melissa.
Avatar 3:59pm
Dolor-X:

Hanky Panky sticks in my head for days.
Avatar 4:01pm

Avatar 4:15pm

I want to say this is Linda Beckam, but I don't remember Don playing that one before. It would possibly be a new record. Maybe I'm getting this one wrong.
Avatar 4:16pm
Debbie Davenport:

Black Fire Come On And Do It.
Avatar 4:20pm
Debbie Davenport:

This is the song about the mannequins.
I'm pretty sure it's called what that lyric is. White Stockings and Black suspenders? I forget who does it.
  4:22pm
Kittimu:

I found it online, i think it's White Stockings by Roy Allison
Avatar 4:23pm
Debbie Davenport:

This is Mabel I'm Only Here To Rock And Roll For You.
Avatar 4:23pm
Debbie Davenport:

One of my favorites. love the lyrics
Avatar 4:25pm
Mr Fab:

so that's the band Mabel and the song "I'm Only Here To Rock And Roll For You," right? Cuz I read that as he's talking to a girl named Mabel, telling her that he's here to rock n roll with her. It's possible!
Avatar 4:26pm
