Over the course of Marathon, I pledge to specific shows, choose "Send me a bill," and say in the memo for office section "Please aim $[XX] of my S4L pledge at [Show]." Then I inevitably also exceed my S4L amount. And at the end of Marathon, Joe sends a receipt that captures it all, I check it against my records, settle up the difference, and pick SWAG based on the total damage.
