your comment about feeling stronger somehow conjures up images of Fabio and Clay doing a duet for next year's marathon: Chicago's "Feeling Stronger Everyday"
Niall:
Yeah
Yeaaaaaaah

We're off to see Nick Cave and Warren Ellis in a little bit here.

have only seen Nick Cave reading in Central Park, a Leonard Cohen tribute at Prospect Park -- and a book signing at Tower Books (early 90s?) before i worked there -- really sweet guy! (unfortunately the friend i was with started flirting with him -- "I'm a writer too!" etc. -- i wanted to just hide under a rock!)

iirc, he read from some other works too -- but i have this vague memory of going home and looking up sections in that book
slugluv1313:
i just do not get that sort of stuff at all, it would never even occur to me to make those kinds of assumptions
slugluv1313:
and WAY cool that you got to read And the Ass Saw the Angel in high school! was this for a class, or did you read it on your own?

@Glistener MW -- that reminds me, he signed my flirtatious friend's book with a completely different name
And the Ass saw the Angel was signed in 1996 -- do not recall where though -- it is a British copy; Michael Wilson ("Tattoo Mike") had been doing a purge of his book collection, and this is one of the books he gave me
