Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Handy Haversack:

I hadn't, sphere. Just looked it up. Do you use it? Despite producing and working on e-books as part of my career, I don't use them in my personal reading.

Good morning Matt and all the fine people. Glad to be here!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:19am Handy Haversack:

sphere, I understand all the reasons for e-books, and there are some cases where I think they make perfect sense. And the load of physical books in our apt. is causing structural damage to the building, I think! But ... I just can't do it. I don't use a mobile phone; I *won't* use a tablet from a company like Apple; I spend enough time on the laptop (and I won't get into an Amazon or Apple ecosystem). Reading is a physical act for me that effects a break with the screen. I needs it, I does!

karlward, it's gonna cost ya ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20am karlward:

When I lived in NYC I frequently saw Matthew Broderick in my travels, enough to the point where he was next in line for a film I was seeing- and he asked me the time. It annoyed my roomie something fierce because she had a big crush on him. ANYWAY it would not surprise me to learn that Matthew B and I are still following similar trails.

Asparagus is deffo one of my faves if it's local and fresh. When I go to Germany over Mayday i'm going to bring a bunch of it from Weiterstadt that has been cut the morning I buy it, wrap it in a damp towel and bring it back to Finland, where you can only get dry, shriveled up stuff from Peru.
