I.R.S. The Cutting Edge was actually a pretty damn good MTV show sometimes hosted by Peter Zaremba, though I think there were other hosts later. Back in the '80s when I was cutting the early It's Happening episodes, someone called me "The Peter Zaremba of Pasadena"... I told Peter this later on, he cracked up over that one...

ALSO there was an episode where The Bangles hosted, riding around in a car with the two in the back playing guitars and all of them singing, and introducing other artists on the show. They walked around a place where old advertising billboards were stored at one point, also singing. That was a very cool episode and I am pretty sure I have it on tape, from my friend Darian S., who was a big Bangles fan then.

Yes, well that was an exploitation version of J.J. Cale, he went under the name J.J. Cale, I've seen that on a marquee. But that is how he got picked by Viva Records, I'm sure Leon Russell was involved with that LP, on a Snuff Garrett level... maybe even recorded at Leon's house

David Shortell... YES... "Rock and Soul Music"... that is the song they do on the Woodstock soundtrack... and it sounds very garage. It's funny because back in the '80s every Garage fan or Rockabilly or Mod absolutely HATED the whole idea of Woodstock. You couldn't have told them there was a Garage track on there, they'd laugh "as if"
