' Joe Henderson (April 24, 1937 – June 30, 2001) was an American jazz tenor saxophonist. In a career spanning more than four decades, Henderson played with many of the leading American players of his day and recorded for several prominent labels, including Blue Note, Milestone, and Verve. '

I love Joe Henderson. I bought ‘an evening w joe Henderson. . . ‘ live album about ten years ago and had never heard him before. I listened to that album on repeat over and over for months. In short, I think there’s something very special about him but I don’t know how to put it in words for whatever reason

To my mind, what handed Trump the election in 2016 wasn't (real) angry white people, trying to restore an earlier state of things that never even was; or (real) gerrymandering; or (real) Russian interference; or even (real) voter suppression: it was the plurality that *chose* not to show up and vote.

Sundays got busy so I've been listening mainly in archive time. I love this stream and your formidable, redoubtable ineluctable
contribution to it!

Actually existing...pffft...since when does that stand in the way?

Existence is overrated, fred. Didn't Sartre say that? Oh, wait, no he said hell is otter people.

I prefer Glen Passiac straight from the caskette. Out with the bung, mouth open wide.

This Masabumi record just blows me mind! It's all the same song, in different configs. This version is my fave! Makes me wanna dance, though it's well-known that I can't. SO get out there on the floor for me!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm

The floor's already occupied; we're busy killing humour out there.

And do the squeaky little rabies-vectors know that there's a bridge in NJ named for them? I refer of course to the the dreaded Otterbridge Crossing

So glad we had this time together with Joe Henderson, the Stork. A well-needed tutorial for me. See you and the diverse dive-rs here next time, all things being normal?

@adamdoesit: I'm starting to wonder whether there might be some scam going on here: there seems to be more of you with each round. The scientific way is to test that hypothesis. Barkeep!
