fred: it's bit harder to get acclimated than I thought, with covid a big part of that...
I do fill-ins at CKUT, and post them here: www.mixcloud.com...
fred: agreed. I did not realize that, like FMU, they don't have too many student DJs, but many who have been there for years. Lots of music shows, but also more social/political/activist as well.
JEFFREY DAVISON !
Wonderful. You know we miss you so.
I've listened to your podcast of your Program up there - but it's hard to keep up with FMU alone broadcasting a few channels 24/7...
Brian in UK: I'm doing okay, but Montreal has been reopened for a relatively short time, so need to get out and do more. I've been taking a lot of photographs. Link here: www.instagram.com...
Thanks for playing Jeffrey morning out there great tracks so far, a gift on that sunday for the moonteam, hope Carol is feeling better maybe listening & taking care ♡
Good morning Will, and thanks! It's going okay. Montreal really comes alive in the spring and summer, so looking forward to that. I miss the FMU family and the craziness of NYC, though!
Greetings JD
Carol if your on board get well soon and make sure you go to physical therapy when done
FM 91.9 is also back up
It was off since Thursday,Maybe Jeffrey got it back on
Headed home…
Jeffrey, so good to hear you on fmu again. you've been missed.

mr 6:
Fred… not unless I hit the lotto as the space where I live is on the market. I’m still shot being without him. He rescued me from my last loss. Thanks for asking. I do have a 10 foot Boa that I’ve had for around 30 years. Friendly but bad at communicating
6:33am
Peter from Dover NJ:
Good morning Jeffrey and explorers of the planets. Jeffrey, thanks for sitting in for Carol.
Do my eyes deceive me???? So happy to have Jeffrey back on the airwaves even if it is just a fill-in (for now).
6:39am
LiXiviated Life:
“As for me, I know nothing else but miracles,
Whether I walk the streets of Manhattan,
Or dart my sight over the roofs of houses toward the sky,
Or wade with naked feet along the beach just in the edge of the water,
Or stand under the trees in the woods,
Or talk by day with any one I love,
Or sleep in bed at night with any one I love,
Or watch honey bees busy around the hive of a summer forenoon...
Or the wonderfulness of the sundown,
Or of stars shining so quiet and bright,
Or the exquisite delicate thin curve of the new moon in spring...
What stranger miracles are there?” -W.W.
Elizabeth, good morning and thanks! Carol couldn't do her show this morning due to an injury. Not sure when she'll be back. Me, I'm living in Montreal, so not so easy to do a fill-in! It's only possible for me today because a pre-recorded show is okay for now, but it's not the preferred method...
This is going to be mentioned in FMU's Blast of Hot Air, but I did an hour mix for Radio L'envie, and put in some favorites. Link here: www.mixcloud.com...

Wow! Jeffrey ! So great to hear you. Man you are missed! Now I'm sorry I didn't get up earlier. Hope you're well and doing good. I never did thank you for all the wonderful music you played for us all those years. Keep on!
Good morning, Heidee, and thank you! The relationship FMU has with its listeners is unique, and profound. We at FMU know it but it became so much more apparent when the comments board became a thing. For years, listeners came down to the station to volunteer during Marathon, and of course pledged money, but naturally this isn't possible for so many of you...Thanks, all.
If I could swim across the big pond, I would be volunteering.

cl@m_digger:
Good morning Jeffrey! I’ve missed you sir Saturday mornings just haven’t been the same. I mean this with all sincerity I think I’ve found more new artists through your show then all of other wfmu shows combined thank you for what you do
OMG I've woken in a dream, one of my favoruite shows on WFMU is in the slot of my favorite show. Jeff and Carol keeping me sane! So very wonderful to have you back Mr Davison and reading the comments I know where to find you on Canadian Radio now. Hope all is well and much love from a very sunny Bristol, UK. :-)
Good morning Ills, and thank you! It's good to be here, and stretching out for a three hour show. When the studios reopen here, I will probably be doing fewer shows, but will be seeking fill-ins.
TDK60: Their stuff was around but not so widely available, and yeah, import only. I missed so much music the first time around, and there is also the situation where you do hear something, don't think that much of it, and hearing it later on you smack yourself for not getting it earlier...
I REALLY miss Shrunken Planet good to here you and your show, I still listen to my FMU Shrunken Planet form the 2021 fund raiser all the time. With all this technology and chance you will return to FMU remotely. Great to hear your voice. You are missed.
Good morning, Toutevoix, and yeah, this is a kind of downbeat set. I don't intend a segment to be one way or another, usually, but it works out this way..l
Thanks Jeffrey, a lot of suffering those days, meanwhile it's not a joyfull day in France and then I'm far away in my adoption country Italy and then your music is getting me even far farest thru the day so that's great to have you today
Wow! I just finally woke up to what is really happening on the airways and I wasn’t some how streaming old Shrunken Planet treasures but its live and compelling new music. Welcome back Mr Jeffrey even if for just a spell! Hope you’re thriving in Montréal.
It's not just new music, it's how a DJ puts it together, sometimes making old music sound new. New perspectives are precious there, but it means giving a fond, thankful farewell to beloved shows
Good morning, Bob in Philly, and thanks! We had a cold winter, even by Montreal standards, and a lot of places were on lockdown anyway. Things have opened back up now, so going to get out there...
She's been doing a 6am Sunday show in JC for a while, I think her pain threshold lets her avoid the bad stuff
8:11am
MFlynn:
Jeffrey, stumbled across your show pretty much by accident this am, what a wonderful surprise that you’re back on the air!!!. I hope this is permanent ??
Listener David used to call me up regularly, and he would often ask for the Hardin song, Reason To Believe. Lost touch with him. Hope you're out there and tuned in, David.
Good morning JohnEBGood. I love the WFMU family, for sure. Listeners thank me for introducing them to music and musicians, but the FMU staff gets so much love in return...
2/2* Felt like s... when I was unable to write you the message I actually wanted to write to express how much I appreciated your show, in time during that change in schedule last year. So this is the chance to say that I will be dropping you a message soon, if that is alright :)
and Carol if you are hearing this (read: reading this :D) : Hope you are getting better fast and being taken good care of ! you so deserve it (would drop by with some good food and do the house chores for you if I could
lanky...not at all. The comments board is such a resource, and we are able to connect in ways that were not possible before. I'm grateful and I know that the listeners are, also. We want to share both the good and not-so-good.
*the delay might have made this so weird to read. I apologize. this morning/week/month has been about making food --> to do chores --> to move out eventually (and all that less than beautiful stuff to take care of here irl in another non-musically enchanted dimension)
I feel like shit assuming late night construction (10pm to 2am) was due to Ramadan accommodation. A neighbor called me out on this and said it was Portuguese trying to blame Muslims. Jews vote for Le Pen because she hates Muslims, Muslims because she hates Jews and Blacks, Blacks because she hates Arabs and Jews, whites because she checks all the boxes. I'm doomed
Dozed off - actually high praise if it seems to the contrary. Dreamt of being filmed for video to one tune here ...signing a release afterwards. They say you can't read in dreams? Signing name less elegant than should be...
lanky sincere sympathies.
TDK60! Word was you were having a rough time. Good to 'see' you - wishing well.
Souleman, thank you! I'm living in Montreal. I mentioned in an earlier comment that I'm taking photos and doing fill-ins on CKUT. I miss the FMU family and crazy New York.
I knew that the French election process was having a second run-off, but didn't realize that it is occurring today. Best of luck, fred et le République!
Ken: she messed up her ankle, and is in a cast. It's slowed her down quite a bit, but she's trying to get used to it. She is going to try and get back on air as soon as she can. It might even be next week but I'm not sure.
Remember Drumpf lost the popular vote by several millions
...remember also that tho the U.S. Senate is about 50/50, the Republicans represent something like 43 Million (?) fewer citizens, cause each state gets two despite size.
Also a problem that RightWingers can just champion one mad Ideology & get all their followers to the Polls, but to be Liberal means literally to tolerate wider views - & getting that following into single file is more challenging, even tho there's unquestionably more of us.
Terence McKenna I think right - Politicians are empowered as Leaders, but they're the last to advance, actually. & our Left-leaning Parties aim for a Center that isn't actually there - leaving the discontent to go Right. & forestalling true Progress. Which too great an extent actually even Preservation (as with say Climate).
@ the same time, we have more sources of Information than ever - much false as Journalism falters, but also true...
Our government is broken. It will be this way until we get the corporations and lobbyists out of it. And I don't see that happening. Check out the movie Idiocracy to see where we're headed.
You're welcome TDK60!
Thanks listener James, nortonjutland, BennyThePlug, Jack and Fredericks!
Thanks fred, and she didn't mention the cat emergency...
Thank you ever so much, Jeffrey, I have really appreciated your music and vibes. Hope everything is going your way in Montreal and life is treating you well. Hopefully some time soon! Dinnae be a stranger! 🌷

It's on me to remember to listen to you from up there! Appreciate the strong reminder why this should happen. Clearly, you're ours in ever other respect.
