Familiar & forgotten gems from 50-plus years of music on the darker side, shoegaze, synthpop, goth, psychedelia, darkwave, with unapologetic detours into 70s pop. In a dark night of the soul, it's always 3 o'clock in the morning.

Julie, was tuned in last night during your fill-in and I have to say I was stunned when you played "Ring Bell" from that Goldie Hawn LP. Who would've known Goldie was such a talented singer with that beautiful voice of hers? Quite a contrast from the "ditz" image she put on during her stint on "Laugh-In". Obviously that was all just an act and she promptly shed that image for fear of being typecast, as she was already embarking on her movie career at the time.

Yes, am wondering how many got the cease & desist letter and how many were so marginal that no one bothered. Or for some in other countries, were out of reach.

Some may know the band (really, a solo guy) M who had a hit, "Pop Muzic," in 1979. At that time my band in LA was dubbed M. We were dreadful, far less catchy than the hitmaker.
