Becky, I casually knew Howie. I would see him around LA - once we DJed at the same venue when he was with a mashup duo called the Illuminoids. They were upstairs and I was downstairs. And another time at an art gallery where he and WFMU’s own Don Bolles were curating a show of weird religious album covers. (I think he told me once that he was an extra in the Germs bio-pic, speaking of Mr. Bolles.) We chatted on Facebook a bit as well.
