Harry Dean Stanton would play rich.
  1:31am Bélarádió:

@rw only Rich can play Rich
  1:37am rw:

I like Harry Dean Stanton!! But we'd have to go back in time a few years to film it. I like the idea of Rich playing Rich too. He would do a great job.
  1:37am rich:

actually bela thanks to the wonderful listeners of wfmu rich can play anything he wants and the one thing he will never play is himself

&rich you don’t really have to play, you just have to be yourself

that's good because being myself is usually work
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:03am chresti:

An inflatable Harry Dean Stanton could play rich.
  2:04am rich:

that sounds like a cronenberg film, in fact it almost defines body horror
Avatar 2:07am tak:

what a vision chresti
  2:12am rw:

From what I've been told, in an infinite universe there's a world out there somewhere exactly like this one, except the name of Rich's radio show is Inflatable Harry Dean Stanton Carcass.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:13am chresti:

what's funny is that I was considering HDS before rich played a track by him, that sealed the deal
  2:16am rw:

chresti, I have this theory that when those sorts of coincidences happen it means you're living life correctly.

Swag For Life Member 2:21am jeanjae:

Love the music you're playing tonight.
  2:22am rich:

hello hubig and jeanjae
chresti, just like the two dicks (sargent and york) playing darren on bewitched
Avatar 2:27am Hubig Pie:

Christi, they were both pretty active during the same era of some brilliant 80's movies?
  2:35am Bélarádió:

Rich is playing on the strings of our heartd tonight! Beautiful set!
Avatar 2:37am Hubig Pie:

Yes, this is lovely. Thanks for the brief listen in. G'night
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:37am _Ike_:

TV writers were so lazy back then. You'd think Bewitched was well-suited to a "rearrange somebody's face" Endora/Serena spell-gone-awry storyline but they couldn't even be bothered to write one. They just threw Dick Sargent in there with no explanation at all. What a bunch of plunkers.
  2:42am rich:

goodnight hubig, good morning ike
Avatar 2:43am Hubig Pie:

Ike, they also replaced Gladys Kravitz with no explanation
Avatar 2:43am Hubig Pie:

G'night again
  2:45am rw:

Damn. Rich your events listing inspired me to look up shows in the area and there are two I need to attend; both on the same night. Fred Frith Trio and Hailu Mergia June 24
  2:52am rich:

rw that's a tough one. who's playing with frith?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:53am chresti:

Hubig, yes. Also, Dean Jones was a child actor in Disney movies
  2:54am Bélarádió:

I have another movie idea: Rich would play Harry Dean Stanton, but in the meantime he would be himself (a little bigger than the original Harry Dean Stanton as he is inflated)
  2:56am rw:

Hmmm... just says Fred Frith Trio. If my son is in town we might go to the Mergia gig as he's a fan and not quite 21. Frith gig is 21+
  2:56am phat in lincoln:

Holy crap. I haven't watched any Peter Davison Dr. Who in years, but I knew I'd heard this before. I couldn't place it. But I had a hunch...

Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:56am Ken From Hyde Park:

Thanks, rich. This show is always a breath of fresh air!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56am _Ike_:

Ah, some of my favorite Doctor Who music! Sadly, it's from an era (early 80s) when a terrible writer was messing up the show (and saddling poor Peter Davison with mostly horrible scripts), much like today. But it was fun to watch anyway.
  2:57am phat in lincoln:

This is giving me chills, not kidding. Lol.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:58am chresti:

I'm going to bed, thanks rich, goodnight everyone!
  2:58am Bélarádió:

Thank you Rich, See you next week Squirrelians!
  2:58am rw:

Oh. it's almost over... Thank you Rich! Always a pleasure and I can't tell you how much I (we all) appreciate what you do. Have a good last week of 59! Later all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:58am _Ike_:

...though "Caves of Androzani" is legit amazing and is still a huge thrill even today, absolutely brilliant.
  2:58am phat in lincoln:

@_Ike_ Tegan, though...
  2:58am phat in lincoln:

Thanks Rich!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:59am _Ike_:

@phat, apparently that actor (Janet Fielding) is coming back for the finale of the current Doctor in the fall, which is too bad because it'll be written by the TERRIBLE current showrunner. Poor Fielding, stuck with another horrible script!
