@Niall@3:03, all I know is that Jim Price seems to think it's inherently funny to have a show that's only a minute long. I don't always get it, but hey, at least it doesn't take up much space on the schedule.

...I didn't always get UncleFloyd - & that took a *lot* longer than one minute...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:14pm
Ike:

I believe Jim Price was a key (anarchic?) WFMU personality back in the 80s (and 70s?) with the Vanilla Bean (RIP) and maybe did a lot of comedy bits... and voices? Irwin too, Irwin definitely did a lot of voices. Briefly at some point in the 90s or early 00s, "The Price Is Beans" was an hour-long show right before Trouble in the evening, and IIRC Trouble was very much *not* amused and not pleased to be their radio neighbor, though I don't recall exactly why.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:21pm

I imagine this conversation between Ken and Jim, years ago. I have no idea if it's at all rooted in any reality:

(Jim) Oh, hey, Ken. Um I guess I don't really have time for a three-hour show anymore

(Ken) Well, OK, do a one-hour show. People love your show!!

(Jim) Nah. That's still too long. [Joking...] Now, if it were a MINUTE long, I wouldn't hesitate...

(Ken) ...[calling his bluff] OK! Let's do it!

(Jim) Wh...umm...er... OK!

With the usual caveats that I am not an expert and everyone's body and situation are different, I have found that lower back pain is often more the result of tight glutes and hip flexors. Learning some quick easy stretches that target those areas of the body can really help loosen everything up.

Niall:

I have some scoliosis resulting from other [hysical attributes, so I've always had low-key back discomfort that got a lot worse after a fall in 2020. Foam rollers, used regularly, have helped a lot, and not just for spinal, scapular, etc complaints. Depending on where the neck pain is, you can safely apply a roller there too, but sometimes it's good to dial that in with a lacrosse ball or, ideally, massage therapy.
