And now Tick Talk . Opossums eat ticks & are harmless marsupials. Don't harm them. They eat ticks. How many ? Who knows for sure but even one less tick is good :)

Opossums are also notable for their ability to clean themselves of ticks, which they then eat. Some estimates suggest they can eliminate up to 5,000 ticks in a season. More recent research indicates the large consumption of ticks may not be true.

Good Morning Amanda. Digitize your LP's. Preserves the audio which defrades just from being in storage. USB turntable & Audacity makes it easy. I did over 1000's LP's . Fit 2 versions of each LP on an external 5TB Seagate Slim Drive. Made the decision to sell my LP's after a heart attack in 2017. LP's are HEAVY. :)

Morning HyperDose: I stored them as AIFF's & MP3's (because my current car is older & won't play some formats.). There comes a time when it's less about "pristine audio" which my 60's through 80's LP's relinquished long ago in favor of health & space considerations.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31am
Will the Sound Guy:

HD, don't always need that kind of resolution.. I should digitize my albums too... I use sonic foundry, an old EMU 1616m Cardbus that has a RIAA phono preamp onboard, and my Technics turntable...
Avatar 7:32am
dday:

@Will. Yes. My theory is I'm hearing what they are hearing. Mould was solo electric...LOUD. With filtering construction type ear plugs in, it sounded good 1st row balcony. Without the plugs, kind of a jumble as he's a mid-rangey guitar sound & reedy vocalist. Show was great. J.Robbins opened with a really nice set with him on acoustic guitar & a cello player. Really nice mix.

@mespr Thank you for your kind words! I don't feel like this is the proper forum to address that issue, but it puts me in mind of an article that was published a year or so ago in... New York magazine, maybe? Or NYT? About dog adoption, not cat adoption, but it might be worth a read.

Thank you. I have a friend who was recently so befuddled by dog adoption she went to a breeder. My cats are very happy with the programming btw.

Mespr - I believe in decriminalizing cat adoption. When rescues put up barriers, they’re trying to prevent abuse and abandonment, but that doesn’t work. A conversational, educational approach to cat adoption is what the National orgs promote these days. If someone wants to live and care for a cat, it’s the job of an adoption agency to guide that person to a cat who will fit their personality and lifestyle, and to ask the person if they have cat care questions. No “gotcha” questions or judgment. Truly unsuitable adopters are rare.

I'd be remiss in not plugging the awesome rescue org puppykittynyc or Puppy Kitty NY City! They helped me adopt my cat Junior and were so helpful. I get the sense they will always help us if we have questions about him.

Fun Fact: Bobby Goldsboro taught Keith Richards the "open A" guitar tuning when The Stones opened for him in America in the '60's. And the rest is history.

It occurs to me that if the ASPCA had known what we were doing, they might not have allowed my parents to adopt a cat, knowing I was allergic to cats and therefore could not have them in the house. But all the pet cats in our neighborhood were alley cats who technically had owners.
