	6:09am Daybreaks Thinking Thoughts 💭: Even though school doesn’t end for Butterman and so in our separate high schools until the 22nd of June. This is the last full week of school for the rest of the year. After this week there are either multiple delayed openings, delayed openings, or unused snow days. This has never happened to me in 19 year of teaching. Crazy!

	6:50am Don in Tampere: Cooh John, my Friday the 13th was fine, but Saturday compensated for it. Had a gig with my band, and on the way to the pub the wheel almost came off the guitarist's band, and neither his car nor mine had a jack in it. Luckily someone stopped by and helped them but we were of course late. Then about 2/3 of the way through the first set the power went out. And later on there was a spill (luckily only of water, and apparently no damage) onto the guitarist's pedalboard, followed by a cable malfunction, then the guitarist's van's rear door taking half an hour to close.

This is the last full week of school for the rest of the year. After this week there are either multiple delayed openings, delayed openings, or unused snow days. This has never happened to me in 19 year of teaching. Crazy!

In addition, many species can ingest pathogens while biting, and transmit them to future hosts. In this way, mosquitoes are important vectors of parasitic diseases such as malaria and filariasis, and arboviral diseases such as yellow fever, Chikungunya, West Nile, dengue fever, and Zika. By transmitting diseases, mosquitoes cause the deaths of more people than any other animal taxon: over 700,000 each year. It has been claimed that almost half of the people who have ever lived have died of mosquito-vectored disease, but this claim is disputed, with more conservative estimates placing the death toll closer to 5% of all humans.

	6:50am Don in Tampere: Cooh John, my Friday the 13th was fine, but Saturday compensated for it. Had a gig with my band, and on the way to the pub the wheel almost came off the guitarist's band, and neither his car nor mine had a jack in it. Luckily someone stopped by and helped them but we were of course late. Then about 2/3 of the way through the first set the power went out. And later on there was a spill (luckily only of water, and apparently no damage) onto the guitarist's pedalboard, followed by a cable malfunction, then the guitarist's van's rear door taking half an hour to close.
