also paulo and others: record a demo! soundflower or loopback are tools you can use to record internal computer audio for digital files, or dj programs like rekordbox. i'm sure the wfmu community can help you out – we're music nerds first here and many including myself only learned how to use mixing board type stuff "on the job"
