Jeff, I've read the expanded version of the Celine Dion book by Carl Lewis. His clinical but fair overview of her life and oeuvre is fascinating. My mom was a fan, so I borrowed her CD's to listen to critically without bias. I don't care for her music that much, but I respect Celine's steely determination and commitment to social justice.
