The Classical Breeks were so impressed by the mournful cries of goats, they coined the word “tragedy” which we still use today, and means literally “goat song”

Rob from Maryland:

@Toothgrinder Tom: Probably not too different from older sheep/goat breeds. "The exact line of descent from wild ancestors to domestic sheep is unclear.[2] The most common hypothesis states that Ovis aries is descended from the Asiatic (O. gmelini) species of mouflon"
  7:48am
Rob from Maryland:

and "The most recent genetic analysis[7] confirms the archaeological evidence that the wild bezoar ibex of the Zagros Mountains is the likely original ancestor of probably all domestic goats today.[6]"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:48am
G:

Goats and sheep were the earliest domesticants in western Asia, 10-12K years ago. The two distinct species resulted from human breeding -- "ovicaprids" (sheep-goats) is the bio term for them collectively. Often it's hard to tell which is which in early bones dug up archeologically.

Most animals get smaller after domestication, for several reasons. The ancestor of modern cattle is the aurochs, which stood 6 feet or so high at the shoulder.

I know the melody of the vocal part of the Kink Gong track from one of his earlier records. Here's more details about it: "The Lu are a very small ethnic group located in the province of La Chau in the northern part of Vietnam, they are somehow related to the Tai Kadai of northen Laos. The most distinctive detail in their look is the women's black teeth"

@fred Not true and sorry if that’s how I made it sound. Let the record show that I don’t actually have a favorite president, furthermore I don’t buy into hero-worship of the US Presidency at all. It was not my intention to bolster any political views of the presidents mentioned, but I do sincerely apologize that it might have been interpreted that way.
