My theories for why turnout is down: we have off-year mayoral and city council elections, so everybody here is exhausted w/voting every damn year. 2) People need a boogeyman to vote against (whether real or exaggerated). Hochul isn't a wannabe totalitarian like Cuomo, so progressives weren't activated against her. Cuomo and his pre-2018 "IDC" goons were more openly wicked if you were paying attention.

And our Board of Elections -- well, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany. All patronage.

Brothers Adam (London Improvisers Orchestra, Secluded Bronte) and Jonathan Bohman (Secluded Bronte, Apricot My Lady) have been making a racket together since their early teens in the mid 70's. They use homemade instruments, household objects, borrowed texts and whatever else happens to be at hand to create their spontaneous sound slice-em-ups and have worked with Christian Marclay, Lol Coxhill, Felix Kubin, Jim O’Rourke, and Charles Hayward, among others. Tune in for an improvised live set and a selection of the Bohmans' favorite records!

My theories for why turnout is down: we have off-year mayoral and city council elections, so everybody here is exhausted w/voting every damn year. 2) People need a boogeyman to vote against (whether real or exaggerated). Hochul isn't a wannabe totalitarian like Cuomo, so progressives weren't activated against her. Cuomo and his pre-2018 "IDC" goons were more openly wicked if you were paying attention.
