The university's Center For Music Experiment had funded his project "WET," or "Water Electronically Tuned," and he took his music across the US to similar-minded centers where he was able to perform underwater, using specially-designed equipment. His collection “Sonic Waters – Underwater Music 1979-1987” splits the music into 2 fields, music for fresh water, which he composed in 1981, and music for salt water, which was put together concurrently, from 1979 to 1987 | 1:53:26 (Pop-up)

Terry Riley | About Loops & In C | Interview at The Drone, La Galte Lyrique, Paris, France - 2015 | According to the original manuscript, Terry Riley composed "In C" as early as March 1964, but it wasn't until November 4th of the same year that "In C" received its first performance. It was part of an all-Riley concert organized by the The San Francisco Tape Music Center. That concert (which was repeated 2 days later) also included 4 tape works, and a solo performance of "Coule" (an early version of the composition that was to become known as "Keyboard Study no. 1"). "In C" was featured as the high point of the evening, if only because of the duration (about one hour) and the size of the ensemble (14 performers). Among the original performers were composers Pauline Oliveros, Ramon Sender, Morton Subotnick, Jon Gibson, & Steve Reich. / For more information on Riley's "In C," check out Robert Carl's book, "Terry Riley's In C," which contains an in-depth study about the history, musical content, and legacy of "In C". | 2:06:08 (Pop-up)

LiXiviated Life:
the bees
start wandering off,
no one knows why.
First one doesn’t come back,
and then another and another,
until those who are supposed to stay and guard the hive,
those who are making the royal jelly and feeding it to the queen,
those who form different parts of the great brain,
must
put down what it is they are doing
and go off
in search— “

@Scott I've recently become enamored with the videos of the espresso dripping on the chocolate squares and watching them fall into the cup.
