not sure what year it was compiled.. i'm thinking early 80s? but it was pretty great.. much more wide-ranging definition of "rock'n'roll".. it had ye-ye-style stuff, Tom Jones-esque crooning, Kinks covers, etc. etc. plus a lot of this kind of thing
