nothin' wrong with the makeup version, but that's just the regular take with different vocals & this is a whole other performance.

RR63 - Bob looking a little worse for wear in that picture. I was just listening to Sitting on a Barbed Wire Fence yesterday. I know Bob put out 2 great albums in 1965, but how Sitting on a Barbed Wire Fence didn’t make the cut for one or the other is beyond me. What a great track. Al Kooper killing it on organ.

Hello everyone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Hell they've put out box sets of so many CDs of that peak Dylan mid1960s period. So so much. But I got that one on the old 'Thin Wild Mercury Music' bootleg.

PB:

RR63 - so true (and I’m a sucker pretty much every time for each “archive” release). Do I really need 10 alternate versions of Like a Rolling Stone?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Right. Well sometimes when there's that much released - it's a question of yes one wants to hear the process & learn of that - but not necessarily listen to be entertained repeatedly. But I think that period is well become History by now, in every sense. & it *should* all be released - as what it is. People speak of what TheBeatles & Apple Corp. do - & sometimes the Columbia Legacy series are held up as something to aspire to...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Oh, I was just typing Ralph White's name today. I edit the bulletin board for my community radio station, and White is playing up here in Keene NH in a few weeks. Here's the listing for all my northern New England friends: blacksheepradio.org...

Mad respect for the thumb agility but this is a rough one
  10:11pm
PB:

Right. I’m not a big fan of the Beatles Anthology series for example, with the exception of a few choice demos which I liked much better than the finished product (While My Guitar Gently Weeps comes to mind. But I can also see how musicians and others would be interested in hearing how the creation of a song evolves.

oh hey wendy! and wow cool! i've never seen him & would love to. wonder if that band is coming through nyc.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm
Wendy del Formaggio:

Hi DJ JJ. Good question! I hope you get to see them. After hearing that track, I think I wanna go to the show in Keene. That was some good stuff from Ralph White.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17pm
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

@PB: I'd be more than happy to listen to every scrap of Beatles tape extant in the Abbey Road vaults. How many more times than once is another question. Put such things on a continuous loop on a 24/7 Stream & then yer cookin' ...& @ this point - I actually think that's the sort of thing TheBeatles~Apple should think in terms of. An online Museum of Everything. & would be in the true spirit of them being ahead of the curve. & which they aren't within 10,000 miles of doing now.
