Mr Fab:

Drive thru th Southwest you'll see actual roadrunner birdies along the highway.

Mr. Oxford:

I had requested Jonathan Richman a few hours ago on Rock'n'Soul radio stream. But the Rock'n'Soul bunny didn't get it. Glad I got to listen to JR on WFMU here on Sheena. It's these little things that make me happy. Radio on!

Right on Mr. Oxford!

Mr Fab:

i was only familiar with this Beat, Mrs Fab was a fan of the American Beat (Paul Collins'). We learned from each other.
Avatar 2:07pm
Jamie Jazz:

Paul Collin's Beat is AMAZING.
Avatar 2:10pm
Mr Fab:

Now that the English Beat guy lives in Cali, supposedly both Beats have done shows together!
Avatar 2:10pm
Jamie Jazz:

That would be both awesome and confusing. lol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:11pm
MHLee:

The Rock'N'Soul Bunny can get a little confused. It once played the Soggy Mountain Boys when I requested Mountain
  2:13pm
Mr. Oxford:

Haha Jamie, when you were playing the Sorels song, I actually mis-read the name of the track as "Rock n Roll Love Letter" (It's already Monday night here after a long day of work). And now you're ACTUALLY playing that song!
Avatar 2:14pm
Jamie Jazz:

I'm telling you... the crystal ball I have is very good
  2:18pm
Mr. Oxford:

@MHLee oh does Rock'N'Soul Bunny get confused sometimes. Last week I was discussing with someone on the chat about Oasis being inspired by Beatles songs. I did not request any song. Yet Bunny played "I'm A King Bee" by a band called Pee White & the Magic Strangers and said it was my request.
Avatar 2:19pm
Mr Fab:

The Bunny decided what you must listen to. Obey the Bunny!
  2:22pm
Mr. Oxford:

@Mr. Fab indeed. Bunny is the esteemed authority on all things Rock and Soul.
  2:33pm
Mr. Oxford:

Merci beaucoup pour les chansons de punk en français! (apologies for any grammar mistakes)

a movie (think it was "Not Okay") recently used "Ça Plane Pour Moi" - the latest of what seems to be numerous appearances of that song in films/tv. Fine by me!

our Euro tour driver's name is Marco and we would sing this song to him all the time.
  2:48pm
Mr. Oxford:

@Mr Fab, I also think it's good when a great song appears in several movies/tv shows/ads for it to be discovered by someone who has never heard it before.

I remember vividly discovering "Ça Plane Pour Moi" when watching The Wolf of Wall Street.

Didn't like the movie, but loved that song right away.

they're on alvildas social media pages. any flyers they've posted in the past few months are done by her

Michael and the slipper tree is one of the coolest songs ever. I'm partial to the equals version
  2:52pm
Mr. Oxford:

That's my favourite Australian band!!
Avatar 2:52pm
Jamie Jazz:

I really wanted to play the other Equals song so I opted for the cover. The Equals are so good.
Avatar 2:53pm
Mr Fab:

It is certainly among the finest songs about shoe trees, or shoe storage in general, ever recorded.
