An inability, however hard it tries,
Will always be obvious.
Are you upset by how prominent it is?
Does it tear you apart to see the inability so attention-getting?
I cannot help but stop and look at the dominant presence.
Now sovereign is just the thing,
To get me wondering if the presence is supreme.
How happy is the cunning unavailability!

The Strange And Walking Mandrake

Whose mandrake is that? I think I know.
Its owner is quite sad though.
It really is a tale of woe,
I watch her frown. I cry hello.

She gives her mandrake a shake,
And sobs until the tears make.
The only other sound's the break,
Of distant waves and birds awake.
