So - pretty freighted associations. They went from this little DIY Surrealistic JanglePop treasure to the Charts & Arenas. People have done worse with such situations...

(It even has one of its most prominent writers.) A well-done homage but still just an homage. I don’t get McFarlane as the captain at all. Casting himself in that role just seems like vanity.

	🛎 ♥ 2:55pm Ike: Blake’s 7 is really interesting, but by today’s standards, the writing is not cohesive and needed more serialized elements. One of the most prominent characters vanishes after season 2 and they barely even mention it. S3 should have been all about searching for that person, even if the actor wasn’t available. But I guess they just didn’t do serialized SF back then. Still worth a look, it’s pretty fascinating.

So - pretty freighted associations. They went from this little DIY Surrealistic JanglePop treasure to the Charts & Arenas. People have done worse with such situations...

(It even has one of its most prominent writers.) A well-done homage but still just an homage. I don’t get McFarlane as the captain at all. Casting himself in that role just seems like vanity.

One of the most prominent characters vanishes after season 2 and they barely even mention it. S3 should have been all about searching for that person, even if the actor wasn’t available. But I guess they just didn’t do serialized SF back then. Still worth a look, it’s pretty fascinating.
