Hello all. Glad to be here. This is about the 9th time in the past couple years ive heard something cool, look to see who it is…and Jessica Pavone is involved.
Avatar 3:47am

I guess she picks her projects well

“The harvest is past,
the summer is ended,
and we are not saved.” - 8:20

I’m really enjoying this
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 3:54am

She has a short tour in Europe coming, but no stop here, as usual. She's even playing with Tomeka Reid a couple of times there, who I'd also love to see
Avatar 3:54am

Morning Lix, morning Cosmic

Morning Jeremiah, morning Lix, morning everyone. This is like fresh sunshine and air pouring into the room Jeremiah.
Avatar 4:05am

Aww thanks
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 4:10am

Somehow, Creamo Coyl (aka Cyanide Tooth) never played Cyanide Breath Mint
Avatar 4:13am

Missed opportunity

Hi Jeremiah and all. Joining later than usual because I had a gig last night and got home quite late, so just emerging from the land of nod.
Avatar 4:27am

Morning Don. How was your gig?
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 4:33am

@Don: Yeah, please tell more
Avatar 🎷 4:35am
Don in Tampere:

Hi Jeremiah, it went really well, a mix of traditional Appalachian murder ballads, distorted stoner banjo improvisations, Carter Family songs on autoharp and weird songs. Janne Westerlund of Circle also did an amazing set on baritone guitar, banjo and dulcimer.
Avatar 4:37am

That's quite a mix

A friend video'd me playing "Make Finland Rake Again" (you can probably guess about when that was written) and did it through a beer glass, so that it looks pretty cool, but I haven't had a chance to edit and upload it so afraid I can't send any link yet. Jeremiah, did you have a chance to check the links?

Morning Don, sounds like a great gig
Avatar 4:42am

I haven't sorry. I will though. I just need to remember-after I leave here I'm burnt out and forget about everything until the next week.
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 4:48am

@Don: Did you update "Make Finland Rake Again" to add the Four Seasons Landscaping twist?
Please share the link when it's ready
Avatar 🎷 4:51am
Don in Tampere:

Sorry, Fred, never got around to adding new verses to that song. About that time was when I'd just written "Failed State" and added a verse about Cheetoman sending storm troopers to Portland and being repelled with leaf blowers - the first good use of leaf blowers I'd ever heard of.
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 4:55am

@Don: and the thing about leaf blowers is that they are heard, so that's saying something
Avatar 🎷 5:07am
Don in Tampere:

They are heard much, but I usually detest them. I thought that blowing tear gas back at the cops was a good way to use them.
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:08am

@Jeremiah: I love how you bring us to the final segment, starting from a very different place. Your show is like a sunrise that way
Avatar 5:10am

Haha it almost has a format
Avatar 5:15am

some peopl e just say this is bad. but i like it
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:16am

I wouldn't call it a format, I never know where it starts, but I know where it ends. It's all about the journey
Avatar 5:19am

It's changed so much since I started
Avatar 5:21am

I played all my records at the beginning but I ran out of records I wanted to play of my own so now I have to dig in the library for stuff I've never heard before.
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:23am

I hope it will keep changing, though at some point you will move to a better time slot that is out of my listening hours. This is a good thing
Avatar 5:25am

i hope it stays right where it is
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:26am

Being allowed to dig in the WFMU library is a major perk
Avatar 5:27am

Oh I'm not going anywhere. I request this time slot every time. It's the only time when I DEFINITELY won't have to be at my day job.
Avatar 5:27am

The library is too big haha it really is
Avatar 5:31am

that's what /they/ said
Avatar 5:34am

definitive cable access vibe
Avatar 5:36am

Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:40am

@Jeremiah: Do you bring your own smooth records?I Or are these from the library, less dusty than many would guess
Avatar 5:42am

I used to bring my own but I ran out of records so now I play them off of Spotify. FMU has more free jazz than smooth jazz.
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:43am

Hey Jeremiah, I just finished doing color thanks for the nice music!
Avatar 5:43am

Hey Happy! Been a while
Avatar 5:46am

jeremiah what is it you like about this genre
Avatar 🎷 Swag For Life Member 5:47am

Yeah, my schedule has been wacky lately. I'm off to drive home, later folks. Thanks again. Have a great weekend.
Avatar 🎷 5:48am
Don in Tampere:

Duck, i would second the question. It always reminds me of 70s porn and fern bars :D
Avatar 5:48am

I like the manufactured leisure of it
Avatar 5:48am

Have a good one Happy
Avatar 5:49am

It reminds me of snow days and the information channel at the hotel

Fred, with you there, re the sunrise metaphormat

This is such a different place than I was in earlier. I was up for sunrise but it’s 10:50am now, and a different world
Avatar 5:51am

It's lowest common denominator relaxation music.
Avatar 6:00am

thank you, Jeremiah!
been listening while getting ready to head out -- wonderful tunes/vibes 😺😺
