I'm having my periodic surgical procedure tomorrow and I'm waiting for the scheduler to call, which they usually do around 3PM, so don't be surprised if I have to jump off the mic suddenly.

was played The In Crowd by my father at some point which was my introduction (haha, probably a bit more common than being introduced to it on the weather channel-- i have heard the proggy phish tune Guyute there, but i digress) --- that ramsey album and one of the greatest hits comp were very formative listening for me.

Most of the material from this album was written by Richard Evans (who also produced and arranged)

WR:

Browsing the Lewis discography, the Urban Knights releases are new to me. Look varied. Some, particularly the first one which has significant involvement from Maurice White, are an all star affair. Some are a quartet or quintet led by Lewis. Has anyone listened to them?
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:32pm
Funky16Corners:

I have not, and there are a bunch of them
Avatar 4:38pm
Vincent The Soul Chef:

Another one that I "borrowed" from my mom back in the 70s... she didn't have many records, but the ones she did have were essential. I still have most of them :)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:39pm
Funky16Corners:

These early 70s Columbia albums must have sold really well. They've been bargain bin staples forever
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:40pm
