Flowers Will Rise Where You Fall by C. Reider (Sever The Invisible Hand)
  10:32pm
wind:

northguineahills, I have tasted it before. You’re right about the taste but the process of how it’s made is interesting.

Jägermeister includes 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices, including citrus peel, licorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng. These ingredients are ground, then steeped in water and alcohol for two to three days.
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 10:34pm
Barney Grubbs:

Chresti, borax/boric acid traps are very effective and are relatively innocuous as far as pesticides go. It’s awful but I decided that if I think of ants as part of a hive creature rather than individuals I feel less bad about whacking them.

Bucci had a super interesting discussion about the spotted lanternfly. I too was just doing “what I was told” …to kill them because they’re an invasive species and harmful to the grapes and certain trees and such. But one of the callers on Bucci’s show said that he finds that these lantern flies are aware, and sentient. That made me think…keep killing them as I’m told …or live and let live?
  10:46pm

Hahaha @northguineahills. Well… did you find the liquor to be beneficial to your health while drinking the whole damned bottle?

ah Jägermeister . . . had never heard of it before, until it was described as "liquid valium" (by Metallica? in Spin magazine?) so of course i HAD to have it . . . which i did . . . a LOT! (probably one of the reasons i rarely drink nowadays!) . . . i had no idea about all those herbs, spices, roots, etc. though! no wonder it kinda reminded me of Benedictine (which i had as a kid, being that it was "medicinal," my Mom would give me a tiny bit when i had killer cramps -- i am not sure if it relieved the cramps, or if i just felt better because i was buzzed)

@wind -- i was listening, and heard part of Bucci's show, but had to head out -- and i just cannot kill the lanternflies either (or anyone else, for that matter -- or deliberately, knowingly cause another's death -- maybe that is how i grew into this "crazy vegan animal rights extremist"?!?) . . . and i doubt that humans encouraging the killing of lanternflies genuinely care about trees; my impression is that they care about the PROFITS generated by the trees -- why else would humans who sabotage logging equipment (which is not even living!) end up in jail? and it always kills me when some human(s) complain about how some other species is "invasive" and "destructive"
