that's the thing about the charts. There's always a mix of good and bad. Some years it's more good. 1956, 1966. But by 1967 when pop was moving to FM and album cuts, the charts are iffy.

The local radio station charts varied depending on who was in working for which record company and their relationship with the various stations in their 'territory'... Billboard was influenced by the 'national' record company promotion proirities... I listened to a lot of the AM & FM radio here n never heard that Amboy Dukes nor NRBQ on their airwaves ....
