Avatar 12:18pm
Katherine Sage:

nope! the song title is "watashi no kare wa hidarikiki" or "my boyfriend is left-handed"
Avatar 12:19pm
Katherine Sage:

Very dif Japanese style from the stuff Mike Rogers plays on his Wednesday show. Listening to his show got me thinking that all JPop is by crazy female punk bands.
Avatar 12:35pm
Katherine Sage:

there do seem to be a lot of cool all girl punk bands from Japan! Shonen Knife and Otoboke Beaver are two that jump to mind

I have noticed one difference: American girl punks sing angry political songs. Japanese girl punks sing about cats, and food.
Avatar 12:39pm
Katherine Sage:

oh for sure! but it's still a political statement somehow

Cool! I hope you read something about Spiders, cuz that was whatever is Japanese for "kookoo bananas."
Avatar 12:50pm
Katherine Sage:

i can tell you that they, as well as the Dynamites from earlier, were both part of the initial waves of rock music to hit Japan and really freak out the squares, as they were both banned from Japanese TV
