Hi Don, Cheree and chatroom folks!!!

Hey everyone!

Mr. Oxford:

Hi Don and Cheree, may I request "Tinkertoy Tomorrow" by Milk 'n' Cookies?
  3:04pm
Cheree July:

Heh Debbie! Thanks for sending Don the cool records!⚡️
  3:05pm
Cheree July:

Hi Mr. Oxford. We played Tinkertoy Tomorrow 2 weeks ago.
Avatar 3:06pm
Mr. Oxford:

Ok Cheree, that is quite recent. I probably missed that show. Will listen to it. Thank you, anyway!
Avatar 3:07pm
Debbie Davenport:

It's the least I can do Cheree, since he's enriched my life for so many years. It's a shame WFMU can't give him a music budget to have fresh records every year.
  3:12pm
Cheree July:

Well Debbie, that's very kind of you to be so thoughtful.

Debbie Davenport:

This Bear Brothers song has a great picture sleeve.
  3:28pm
Cheree July:

Debbie, we're playing you're Desira 45 now!
Avatar 3:28pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yay! Wasn't sure if he had this one already. It reminds me of something from a rock opera about a gorilla.
Avatar 3:29pm
Mr. Oxford:

This is a treat. Thank you, Debbie!
Avatar 3:29pm
Debbie Davenport:

But like I tell him, if you already have it or don't like it, trade it for something you want. It's all about supporting the show.
Avatar 3:30pm
Debbie Davenport:

Thanks Mr. Oxford.
  3:38pm
Cheree July:

Thanks for your support Debbie!
Avatar 3:42pm

Hey hey
Avatar 3:45pm
Mr. Oxford:

The Running Jumping Standing Still Band is quite a complicatedly long name for a band. Catchy song though that's fo' sure
Avatar 3:47pm
Mr. Oxford:

Never heard this Slade song before! Quite good.
Avatar 3:52pm
Debbie Davenport:

I'm so glad I started using instagram. People can post songs like this. On my facebook account I get judged. Or much worse, some dork wants to talk to me about things that make me want to fight them. Music things about how it's okay but it's not something they like more. PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar 3:52pm
Debbie Davenport:

Sorry. I try to be polite when I'm here.
  3:55pm
Cheree July:

Debbie, it's fine.
Avatar 3:57pm
Debbie Davenport:

😊
  4:00pm
Kittimu:

Debbie, what kinds of things do people say on Facebook when you post songs?
Avatar 4:06pm
Debbie Davenport:

Well, when posting Gary Glitter some guy I now from the 80's who has been in bands got all upset. Only said things like "I can't even" like he was without words that I would post it. He had racy lyrics in his songs too. It's about Gary's horrible behaviors outside of his music. I have several Kim Fowley records, but don't want to encourage judgement with that either. I'm on social media to have a good time, usually.
I know a lot of far left people in fb from my local environment. They have seriously beat up a glam rock boy to the extent he had to go to the hospital then move out of the area. Just for saying he thought teen girls were hot. EVERYONE thinks teen girls are hot is my position. Even me and I'm not gay. Then they doxxed him and encouraged our locals to go to his new town and beat him again. He didn't look much older than a teenager himself. That really gets to me.
Avatar 4:07pm
Debbie Davenport:

and when they tried to recruit new people to go beat him up, all they said to recruit people was that he once said teen girls were hot. No other reasons needed.
  4:08pm
Kittimu:

that's... a lot to process
Avatar 4:09pm
Debbie Davenport:

Yeah, it doesn't seem like much, yet it is. Fucking crazy here. I'm much happier since I have started avoiding local people.
Avatar 4:10pm
Debbie Davenport:

They were going to carpool 100 miles to beat him up again!
  4:12pm
Kittimu:

Man. I can't get people together to do anything and they can all get together to haul a hundred miles to beat up some random dude? Ugh.
Avatar 4:14pm
Debbie Davenport:

Really? Wow!
Avatar 4:15pm
Debbie Davenport:

I can see 2 or 3 bands being named the Stains. But Running Jumping standing still band? That's funny.
  4:15pm
Kittimu:

Did you misread something or are you just very impressed by how uncoordinated everyone I know is
Avatar 4:16pm
Debbie Davenport:

Kittimu, I was reponding to our leader. When he was talking about the Running Jumping standing still band.
  4:16pm
Kittimu:

Oh oops. Serves me right for not paying attention
Avatar 4:17pm
Debbie Davenport:

You totally pay attention. I just sling too many words around sometimes.
  4:17pm
Kittimu:

Have you ever checked out Laurice's other music? He made some weird stuff. Like, a lot of mediocre EDM.
Avatar 4:19pm
Debbie Davenport:

even though this show has been going for a couple years now, I'm still absorbing the junkshop world in general. I often don't retain the family tree type of information. Like who is behind names and how many things they've done. I get all hippy and autopilot about things sometimes.
Avatar 4:20pm
Debbie Davenport:

Don and Cheree probably have.
  4:22pm
Cheree July:

Debbie, I think it's more so that Don & Noah have absorbed way more than me.
Avatar 4:24pm
Debbie Davenport:

We're all learning together! 💖 What a great resource this show is.
Avatar 4:25pm
Debbie Davenport:

Zooky!
  4:27pm
Kittimu:

This is a good song.
Avatar 4:30pm
Debbie Davenport:

One thing I learned and happen to retain from this show is what "5th Form" means. It's like school grades.
Avatar 4:32pm
Creature Boy:

I had my suspicions that Uriah was on the move but this confirms it
Avatar 4:33pm
Debbie Davenport:

🤣
Avatar 4:34pm
Creature Boy:

Oh shit
Avatar 4:35pm
Creature Boy:

I have the feeling that Don wasn't into 20/20 at the time but I don't know
Avatar 4:47pm
Debbie Davenport:

Love these robust male background singers!
Avatar 4:52pm
Debbie Davenport:

🤣
Avatar 4:53pm
Debbie Davenport:

oh whoops, I was wrong about 5th form! Not a school grade but a test.
  4:55pm
Kittimu:

I thought it was a grade too though
Avatar 5:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

Thank you for a great show Don! Thanks for the important helping Cheree! Thanks for the fun fellow chatroom people.
Avatar 5:00pm
Debbie Davenport:

I totally got what I wanted!
