Good morning! You could have told me any year between 1970 and today for “candy clouds” and I would’ve believed you
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21am
Jeff Golick:

Good morning, @DJpeterDE! That said, the cover virtually screams 1970 to me.
  9:25am
DJpeterDE:

Yes now that I’ve seen the cover it seems obvious. Also had I made the Dulfer and Candy connection that would also have suggested a certain timeline
  9:26am
SWK:

Good morning! Off topic tech question… do the stream DJs have any sort of real time metric to reference while you’re on air? Can you tell on your end how many streamers are tuned in?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:29am
Jeff Golick:

Hi there, @SWK! I do not have a way to check how many streamers are listening at any one time -- nor would I want that ability! I do think it's possible that *someone* can measure it, though.
  9:32am
Listener Gregory:

Do you have severe to moderate interruptions in your stream flow? Ask your DJ about Aaaahhhnix, the stream restorer. Do not use if you are allergic to Aaaahhhnix or if you have had satellite internet. Ask your DJ before using if anyone you know is a musician or if you have an opinion about electric Miles Davis.

@Doug, true, but at least I didn't tell you that in 1800, maple sugar was priced almost 20 times higher than syrup, but in 1930, syrup was 4.5 times more expensive. I showed great restraint (for a Vermonter).

Teddy Wilson and his Orchestra:
>ldridge, tpt; Ernie Powell, cl, tenor sax; Benny Carter, alto and tenor sax; Teddy Wilson, piano; Danny Barker, giutar; Milt Hinton, Bass, Cozy Cole, drums. The discussion in the booklet only mention an alto sax solo by Benny Carter. Have to pull it out and listen again (but if Carter played an alto sax solo, Powell would have had to be on tenor).

Morning project going well...I'm almost configured for processing black and white film again. This time around it'll be film only (no printing), in the guest bathroom. @coelacanthØ, very true. In the old days, maple sugaring was mostly done by farms and local families for their own sugar supply. I think maple sugar because less necessary and popular when other, cheap forms of sugar became available in rural New England.

Coel, I finally was able to give away the rest of my darkroom equipment a week ago. It was such a weight off of me. Its presence had become an albotross, preventing me from moving forward. That stuff has no sale value around here, it was a miracle that I found someone to take it for free. He now has a gorgeous Beseler 45MXT with a modified cold light head.

Try some E-6 and you'll test positive.

Got through the whole Pandemic, working with folks in person, never caught it until about 3 weeks ago, older daughter came home for an upstate NY wedding, developed symptoms while we were staying upstate (tested negative at first, but positive 2 days later), and sure enough, she passed it along to the rest of us. The wedding seems to have been a super spreader event, all the cousins we know came down with it as well).

it's really dumb i didn't take photography in high school. i was always dazzled by what my father called "trick photography". he had a darkroom in the basement when i was little that he rarely used but was taken over by his hoarding crap before i got to high school.
i learned darkroom skills at almost 40 years old.

(Though I've read some studies questioning the efficacy of the new bivalent booster. Seems they put in half a dose of the vaccine for the original original variant, half a dose that's for the Omicron variant. Some Infectious Disease experts and studies suggest they would have been better off with a full dose of either one in terms of generating immunity)
