Well, sweeping is a lot harder than vacuuming, but the cats are less freaked out. Buying a new vacuum was really not in the budget, consarnit.

Yeah, moonshine is godawful. I have had real backwoods moonshine, and it's one of the worst experiences of my life. The "moonshine" made by boutique distillers is unaged whiskey, which, well, aging smooths it out, but it's not like it was made in a holler and filtered through underwear.

Never had moonshine, but my uncle used to harass my aunt by doing little shots of this grappa that was the Italian equivalent of paint thinner / moonshine. I tried it once. It was INTENSE.

Yeah, we are funky in Charlottesville. And, Franklin County is/was the moonshine capital of VA. It is wicked, indeed, but doesn't taste all that different, imo, than some of the youngish whiskey being made by the legit distilleries popping up. Love that McKenzie tune, Michael.

so, i toured with RL Burnside a few times to japan. when we were preparing to leave, the first tour, RL poured out some plastic bottles of Maalox and put his shine in the bottles to take on the flight and overseas.
but, when we got over there, his stomach didn't like the food we were getting, so he kept asking me to find him some Maalox. they don't have Maalox in japan!!

I used to have tix next to a dude who could very well be classified as a moron, who would make the same jokes every game. Like when a player fell, he say "oops, ice is slippery!". And so on and so forth. Anyway, I used to hear "how much time is left?" at every game for two years straight until my brother and I finally moved our seats!
