Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:33pm
Feldy:

You personally getting rid of gas heat, or phasing-out over there in general? Assuming in favor of electric?
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:35pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

It has all to do with the Dutch gas they drilled out of the Groningen ground: en.wikipedia.org...
which now causes lots of earthquakes and all the while Russian gas of course is no option any more.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Jan Turkenburg:

No, I meant we in The Netherlands. Trying to get rid of our gas dependency. Gas heaters as in the picture are quite old-fashioned. Most people have central heating.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Ah... thanks PK!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:36pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

that too. It has become quite costly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm
Jan Turkenburg:

Now where did I hear this melody before....
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 1:40pm
Paper Kosmonaut:

The earthquakes are very superficial, literally. Close to the surface. "Normal" earthquakes happen kilometers deep in the earth's crust. That is why a 3.6 quake causes lots of damage here: www.melkvee.nl... The farms and especially the sheds aren't built to withstand these forces.
Avatar 1:40pm
worldsworstrecords:

yay! Beatlecover!
Avatar 1:41pm
worldsworstrecords:

hahaha! I have a cover of 'She Loves You' coming up on my show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:41pm
Feldy:

@Paper Kos I had no idea there were earthquakes there. Hooray for eliminating gas dependence!
